We did it again!
We had a hugely successful One Stop Shop on Saturday, December 7, 2019. We served:
- 243 households
- 485 adults and 772 kids
- 1257 individuals total
We had more shoppers this year than ever before. We shopped and prepared for weeks before this date to stock the store with toys, appliances, pillows and blankets, hats and gloves, food items, and more! The day ran smoothly as shoppers and their personal shopping volunteer strolled from room to room to select items of their choice. We had a delicious lunch provided by a Huntington Woods Book Club and welcomed Gaylord UMC once again to prepare activities and crafts for the children as their parent’s shopped. Pastor Edwards played the organ as people took turns singing Christmas Carols for us all to enjoy. It was a beautiful day in Brightmoor!
