Wow! What a day! At our 2018 One Stop Shop, we served:
- 225 households
- 448 adults and 672 kids
- 1121 individuals total
Accompanied by a University of Michigan volunteer (personal shopper), each shopper visited our Free Store, Toy Room, Pillow & Blanket Room, Appliance Corner and Food Pantry. They were able to select toys from our huge selection of new and used toys for each child in their household. In addition to toys, shoppers left with a new, small appliance (choices included microwaves, skillets, grills, heaters, toaster ovens, coffee makers, and more!), a pillow and large, fleece blanket, and an over flowing bag of groceries (pasta, sauce, peanut butter jelly, soup, and more). This day, which takes several months to organize and more than 50 volunteers to run, is a true display of holiday giving and holiday cheer!
