Our History

Redford Brightmoor Initiative was founded in August 2012 by the Rev. Jeff Nelson and Cliff Bath following the merger of the West Outer Drive United Methodist Church in Brightmoor with the Redford Aldersgate United Methodist Church. RBI received 501(c)(3) status in February 2013 and today is a stand-alone organization, strongly supported by a number of churches but not itself part of any religious organization.

As RBI has grown over the years, we have added many programs which continue today.
